QR menu vs printed menu: which is better?
A QR menu is cheap to update and always correct. A printed menu is easy for every guest. Most cafés do best with a QR menu on every table and a few printed copies at the counter.
Side by side
| QR menu | Printed menu | |
|---|---|---|
| Changing prices | Edit on your phone, live at once | Reprint every time |
| Running cost | A table standee once; the page is free on MiniPage.me | Printing again after every change and wear |
| Photos of dishes | As many as you like | Limited by space and print cost |
| Hygiene | Nothing to pass around | Handled by every guest |
| Elderly guests and no data | Needs a phone | Works for everyone |
| Orders | WhatsApp order button | Waiter takes the order |
Our advice
Put a QR standee on every table and keep two or three printed menus for guests who prefer paper. Update the QR menu first when prices change, and reprint paper copies less often.
Make your QR menu
- Open the café menu template and add your dishes and prices.
- Print the QR on table standees (the acrylic table standee starts at ₹349).
- Add a WhatsApp order button for takeaway.
