01Who we are
MiniPage.me (“we”, “us”) is a service made in Kolkata, India, that helps small businesses and individuals create mini websites that open from a QR code or a short link. For your information, MiniPage.me is the “Data Fiduciary” under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).
The content on each mini website belongs to the person who made it. That person decides what to publish, including any phone number, address or photos shown on the page.
02What we collect
If you make a mini website
| Information | Why we need it |
|---|---|
| Page content: title, description, prices, photos, links, location and contact details you add | To show your mini website to the people who scan your QR code |
| Account: your name, email address and password | To keep your pages in your account, let you sign in on any device, and reach you about your pages. Your password is stored only as a one-way scrambled code (hash); nobody at MiniPage.me can read it |
| Sign-in cookie | One essential cookie that keeps you signed in. It is not used for tracking or ads |
| Page settings: template, colours, language, publish date | To display the page the way you designed it |
Before you publish, your draft is saved only in your own browser on your device. When you publish, the page is saved in your account so you can open it on any phone or computer.
If you visit a mini website
We count each visit as a number so the page owner can see how many times the page was opened. We do not use cookies for this, and we do not store your name, phone number, contacts or a profile of you.
Like every website, our hosting servers briefly receive technical details needed to deliver the page, such as your IP address and browser type. These are used only for security and to keep the service running, and are deleted automatically after a short period.
If you order from the MiniPage.me Store
When the Store is open, we collect your name, phone number, delivery address and order details to deliver your order and contact you about it. Payments are handled by the payment provider you choose; we never see or store your full card or UPI PIN details.
03How we use it
- To publish, show and update the mini websites you make
- To confirm ownership and send you your edit link
- To show page owners a simple view count
- To process and deliver Store orders
- To keep MiniPage.me safe, stop misuse and respond to reports of harmful pages
- To meet our legal obligations
We use your information only for these purposes. If we ever need it for something new, we will ask you first.
04What we never do
- We do not show ads and do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
- We do not sell, rent or trade personal data.
- We do not build profiles of people who scan QR codes.
- We do not read your WhatsApp chats or calls. When a visitor taps “WhatsApp” or “Call”, their own phone app opens directly.
06How long we keep it
- Mini websites stay online until you delete them. After you delete a page, its QR code stops working straight away and the content is removed from our backups within 30 days.
- Your account (name, email and scrambled password) is kept until you delete it. Deleting your account from Account → Delete account also deletes all its pages straight away.
- Reports sent about a page are kept while we review them and for up to 1 year after, to handle repeat abuse.
- View counts are kept as totals only, without any visitor details.
- Store orders are kept for as long as Indian tax and accounting laws require, then deleted.
07Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you have the right to:
- Access a summary of the personal data we hold about you
- Correct or update it
- Delete it, and withdraw consent at any time
- Raise a grievance with us, and if you are not satisfied, with the Data Protection Board of India
- Nominate someone to use these rights for you in case of death or incapacity
You can edit or delete your pages yourself from My pages, change your name or password, and delete your whole account from Account. For anything else, write to us from the email address linked to your page and we will reply within 7 days.
08Children
MiniPage.me is meant for people aged 18 or older. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to make the page for you. If we learn that a page was made by a child without a parent’s consent, we will remove it.
09How we keep it safe
- Pages are served only over secure HTTPS connections.
- Access to our systems is limited to the people who need it, and admin access is password-protected.
- Photos are resized and stored without hidden location details where possible.
No online service can be completely secure. If a data breach ever affects you, we will inform you and the Data Protection Board as the law requires.
10Report a page
If a mini website shows your personal information without permission, or is misleading or harmful, use the Report this mini website link at the bottom of that page, or email us. Reports are private: the page owner never sees who reported. We review every report and pause or remove pages that break our rules or the law. A page reported by several different people is hidden until our team checks it.
11Terms of Service
By creating an account or publishing a mini website on MiniPage.me, you agree to these simple rules:
- You are responsible for everything you put on your pages: text, photos, prices, links and contact details. Keep it true and lawful.
- Only publish content you own or have permission to use. Do not copy other people’s photos, brands or personal information.
- No fake shops, scams, adult content, hate, harassment, illegal goods or misleading offers.
- Sales made through your MiniShop are between you and your buyer. MiniPage.me is not a party to those orders or payments.
- We may pause or remove pages that break these rules or the law, and close accounts that repeatedly do so.
- The free plan stays free. Minipage Plus features are billed as shown at the time you buy, and you can stop renewing at any time.
- We work hard to keep the service running, but it is provided “as is”, without guarantees of uninterrupted availability.
12Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change affects how we use your information in an important way, we will tell you by email before it takes effect.
